Ms.
Tirinnanzi started Financial Standards because of the obvious
need in corporate America for plain-English assistance in understanding
complex accounting standards, financial statements and shareholder
reports. Working with executives, stock analysts and fund managers,
and industry groups, she continues to develop products and services
that help executives and directors understand financial information
under US GAAP.
Ms.
Tirinnanzi has nearly twenty five years experience in financial
analysis, credit, and accounting policies and applications.
She is credited for presenting the financial reporting problems
faced by public companies before the Financial Accounting Standards
Board, Securities and Exchange Commission, and among the practice
directors of the top national audit firms. Ms. Tirinnanzi has
worked with industry groups to build consensus on US GAAP practices
and forward positions that have improved US financial reporting
practices.
Prior
to working in the private sector, Ms. Tirinnanzi spent several
years as a banking regulator with the Federal Reserve Bank of
Chicago, and with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve
System.
Ms.
Tirinnanzi is a nationally acclaimed expert in financial instruments
accounting, including stock options, residual interests, and
derivative instruments. Familiar with newly developed fair-value-based
standards, she has developed financial reporting and regulatory
compliance protocols for more than 100 public companies. She
earned her MS in business from The Johns Hopkins University,
and BA from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. She is an
active member of the National Association of Corporate Directors
(NACD).
